A young boy was recently hailed as a hero for saving a 5-year-old child’s life.
According to reports from local media outlets, the boy found a young girl buried alive in the sand. She was struggling with her breaths and it was a very distressing situation for him to see.
He didn’t take a second to think and quickly went on to assist her inside the Marina Dunes. The boy explained how he gave full credit to the show NCIS for teaching him some basic skills related to CPR.
He used all of these to save the girl’s life and it worked in the end. The boy named Connor Fitz-Gerald says he was playing in the sand with another group of kids his age.
All of a sudden, he noticed something awfully strange. A girl was trapped under a giant mound of sand when the cave she was digging collapsed on top of her. Unfortunately, there were no adults nearby to assist the kids.
Therefore he knew immediately that he needed to do something before it was too late.
He not only rushed to free her from the ground but also removed the sand on her face. She had sand in her mouth and nose so struggled to breathe as well.
Hence, he was able to perform the basic steps of CPR and that was enough to save her in the end.
