Harry and Meghan are building their own, ‘woke’ version of the Royal Family according to a royal expert.
Angela Levin, a royal biographer, has spoken out and accused the Duke of Duchess of holding a grudge against Harry’s family and trying to show the world that they are right.
Speaking to FEMAIL, Levin suggested the 41-year-old duchess feels “bitterness” towards her in-laws because she wasn’t allowed to “modernize” the Royal Family during her short time in the UK after her marriage to the Queen’s grandson.
“I’ve thought for a long time that Harry and Meghan are trying to create an alternative woke royal family, the grandeur and the pomp and circumstance that surrounds them,” the award-winning journalist and biographer said.
She continued: “When they went to America, when they went to the United Nations, and not just as somebody who’s interested and curious and one of us but with good credentials. They are people who are very determined to show that their way is the best way.
“And I think Meghan, who doesn’t like losing, she likes to win, feels enormous bitterness and resentment towards the Royal Family for not letting her modernize the Royal Family.”
While Levin admitted her opinion on the matter may be wrong, she suggested Harry and Meghan are holding on tightly to their royal titles despite making it clear they didn’t want to live their lives as royals.
“When Meghan goes anywhere, she always uses her royal title. Now, why do that if you don’t actually like the royal family and you wanted to get shot of them?” Levin added.
“So that’s why I think there’s a big plot and a plan to show how awful the they are. And I think that in Prince Harry’s books, and in that terrible interview with Oprah Winfrey, was trying to smash the Royal Family and the monarchy down.”
The established author also suggested Prince William will likely continue avoiding his brother until his memoir is released and he’s had the chance to read it.
The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Meghan and Harry won’t meet with William and Kate upon their return to the UK later this year.
It is believed the Montecito couple will travel across the pond in September to pay a visit to two charities and attend an event in Germany.
