Trump cut out the funding for the university that was reportedly worth $2.2 billion, and that left the administration very upset.

The organization refused to bow down to Trump’s demands of eliminating diversity, despite other leading American companies such as Google agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined by the president.

It was also asked to remove its principles of equity and inclusion policies, which giants like Meta and Walmart agreed to and therefore chose to show compliance, as they knew saying no would bring about serious consequences.

However, Harvard has accused Trump and the federal government of behaving against the US Constitution and making unreasonable demands that went against its policies. It also shared how putting an end to funds would jeopardize the institution’s medical research.

Harvard claims the tradeoff put out by Trump was to receive funding in exchange for the government micromanaging its day-to-day activities, which they claim was not an option in their books. They hope to fulfill their essential role to society with zero interference from the government.
