Actress Amber Heard was recently seen slamming the role of social media during the Johnny Depp trial.
The celeb has raised her voice and mentioned how the world can no longer stay silent on how the social media persuaded the case and the final verdict, adding how they really tainted the reality of the situation in a way that made her lose the case.
Calling the role extremely unfair, the celeb says she is not blaming the jurors for the way the ruling was presented against her in the explosive trial but she did go about criticizing all the people who served as online commentators.
These are reportedly the actress’s first words after the explosive verdict came out two weeks back.
Heard was seen making the bold statements while sitting down for an interview alongside NBC’s Savannah Guthrie which comprised of a preview that was aired during the early hours of Monday. This was a part of Today’s morning show.
The actress reiterated how she was in no mood of blaming the jury and thoroughly understood how and why the decision was made and the great pressure and circumstances that came with it.
“I do understand what has happened and it all does make some sense to me. This man is a beloved character and so many people that they know him so well. He is definitely a great actor”- the celeb added.
But when it came down to slamming social media commentators, she said that they were definitely on Depp’s side in a very overwhelming way. This was during the seven-week-long trial. She even spoke about how the hashtag justice for Johnny Depp had a staggering response comprising 20 billion views and still counting.
Meanwhile, a similar hashtag for justice for Amber Heard racked up more than 80 million views.
