There can be nothing worse in this world than the pain and grief that are associated with losing a loved one.
According to reports by local media outlets, the grieving parents of a 5-year-old boy are now speaking out against the hospital staff who happened to be present when their child’s life support machine was switched off.
M. Ayaan Haroon passed away this month under the most tragic circumstances. The grief and pain were just too much for his parents, as the 5-year-old’s health is believed to have deteriorated at a fast pace.
He was admitted to Sheffield’s Hospital but despite doctors’ efforts to try and save him, they just could not. And he passed away on March 13. Moreover, his parents are now recalling the moments that arose that day, and they’re not happy with the way the hospital staff behaved.
The victim’s 41-year-old dad Haroon Rashid explained how the medical staff kept on laughing while his son was dying. And as a parent, that really broke his heart into a million pieces.
He further revealed how only a thin curtain separated his son’s bed where he was dying from the medical staff comprising doctors and nurses. And while his child’s life support machine was turned off, all he could hear were giggles across the board.
The family revealed how heartbroken and dumbfounded they became to learn of the actions of the cruel staff present there.
They did not see any humor in the situation and knowing that their son was leaving this world called for a sense of empathy which this medical practice lacked, he revealed.
The giggles were actually so loud and obnoxious that the dad revealed how one of his relatives literally had to call the medical staff out for being a little more sympathetic about the situation.
As of right now, an investigation is taking place to try and determine why such awful behavior and code of conduct were carried out in the first place. And this news comes after the father reportedly submitted a complaint on the matter.
