Matilda Ledger, Heath Ledger’s daughter, maybe returning to Australia as she wishes to stay with her late father’s family in Perth.
Matilda, 16, lives with her mother Michelle Williams, stepfather Thomas Kail, and a one-year-old sister in New York. According to an inside source, “Michelle is extremely protective of Matilda and has tried so hard to shelter her from public life, but she has accepted Matilda’s wishes.”
The source further added, “She knows how Heath died, and how much he loved her.point 192 | Not to mention how much his family loves her and that she always has a home with them.point 261 |
” Apart from her physical similarity to her late father, Heath’s father Kim earlier stated that Matilda is passing on his legacy through her personality.point 141 | 1
Kim previously told The Project, “She’s got an enormous number of his mannerisms. She’s very inquisitive, she’s got his energy, because Heath never slept from when he was two and Matilda’s like that.”
Last year, an insider source also stated that Matilda had just awakened an interest in one of Heath’s old hobbies: chess. He further told “Heath was obsessed with chess, and now Matilda is getting quite good at it. She even has her dad’s old chess board.”
From 2004 through late 2007, Michelle was in a relationship with Heath. Matilda, the couple’s only child, was born in October 2005.
