Shocking reports are talking about how the Northville High School girls’ coach was captured yanking the hair of senior Hailey Monroe.
Monroe seemed to be very upset and even broke down in tears after realizing what was being done to her in public, right in front of a live audience, not to mention her own team members.
She got tearful while watching her opponents, La Fargeville, celebrate the winning of their title game 43-37 at the Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York.
She is the program’s all-time leading scorer, so to behave like that was certainly uncalled for, leading to widespread criticism and backlash on social media over the issue.
Zullo just randomly proceeded to walk up behind her and grab her ponytail aggressively, which got her into tears again. One of Monroe’s teammates then opted to intervene and exchanged some angry words with Zullo.
The pair began pointing fingers at each other, and stunned viewers started to praise the girl for standing up for her schoolmate against such unlawful actions.
Zullo’s son, Sam, shared a statement from his father over the very disturbing scenes. Zullo senior mentioned how he does regret this action, and his behavior was uncalled for. He said he let his emotions get the best of him, which was not fair.
