A pregnant California teacher has reportedly died under the most tragic circumstances.
Clara Thomann who was 33 enjoyed hiking as a pastime. She had recently decided to take a vacation to Greece and that’s where she passed away during a hiking trip in Greece.
Clara Thomann was a science teacher at the Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta who happened to be vacationing at the Greek Islands when all of a sudden, she slipped and fell 165 feet from a gorge. This tragic incident arose at the Plakias, Crete as reported by several media outlets.
First responders shared more on the matter including how there was a group of construction workers who rushed to her aid.
They transported her to a nearby local hospital as per her family who shared that at the time, she was still alive and conscious.
But she was pronounced dead just a few days later after suffering serious fractures to her chest and skull. Doctors had called her brain dead.
Clara was six months pregnant and enjoyed helping others through her teaching. Her family shared heartbreaking tributes in her honor after they flew to Greece to bring back her remains.
