A heartbroken Michelle Obama was seen getting emotional over the recent Roe v Wade overturning by the US Supreme Court this morning.
The former first lady broke down in tears as she expressed her great fury and disgust over the decision granted by the country’s highest justice system. Mrs. Obama was even seen as going as far as calling the decision absolutely horrible. But she was not the only one to raise her voice against the decision.
A number of other celebs followed in her footsteps, which included the likes of actress Amy Schumer who didn’t shy away when it came down to expressing how she felt on the matter.
Schumer was seen slamming the country’s justices who chose to rule against the historic Roe v. Wade decision during the early hours of Friday morning. The justices upheld the 15-week restrictive abortion ban belonging to Mississippi.
“The Constitution does not confer any right to abortion. Roe and Casey are overruled and the authority to regulate abortion will now lie with the states”- the startling decision went on to proclaim.
Dozens of other celebs were seen expressing their fury against the decision as many felt it was wrong and even warned of the devastating consequences that such a decision would end up having in the country.
Mrs. Obama was seen urging pro-choice supporters to come out and channel all of their anger and frustration on the matter by converting them into actions while asking them to support various organizations like ‘The United State of Women’ and ‘Planned Parenthood’.
“Women’s rights have no business being determined”- Amy Schumer continued while mentioning how it was beyond appalling to see people rule in favor of r*pists.
Other celebs who have come forward ever since the shocking ruling included Hailey Bieber, Busy Phillips, Taylor Swift, and Jameela Jamil.
