Prince Harry made more striking reveals while sitting down for a major explosive interview last night.
The Duke of Sussex did not hold back when questioned about the response he received from the members of the royal family after he opted to return back to the UK for his grandmother’s funeral.
As it is, the whole day had turned into a very stressful affair for everyone in the family and Harry didn’t want to make it worse, he explained.
He was first told that it would be better to leave Meghan behind and he did. Then it was mentioned how William refused to wait for Harry and ordered the Royal Air Force jet to leave without him as they made their way to Balmoral to be by the Queen’s side.
Sitting down for his latest tell-all interview with ITV for the show News at Ten, he was asked some very direct questions by host Tom Bradby.
And that included a reflection on the last time he was by the side of his royal family members and what it felt like for him. Moreover, the Prince did not shy away from the question and really went into detail about what happened.
Harry explained how the last time they were all together was for the queen’s funeral. It was definitely very sad but it was a time when the whole family was there and he felt that it was the time to be united together as one.
“The world knew that this was the chance to bring us all together as one. We were celebrating my granny’s wonderful life and bidding her farewell”- he went on to add.
But Harry says that the day she died, he got a reaction from his family members that were just horrible. From what I saw and from what the world saw, they were on the back foot”- he added.
Similarly, he spoke about how there were many briefings and leakings, and plantings after that.
