Singer Kelly Clarkson is sharing some very personal comments about how toxic and degrading her relationship with her former husband had become.
The star began by shedding light on how her former lover’s comments about her weight and appearance were so degrading that it shattered her self-confidence and brought her self-esteem down to a new low.
The singer revealed during her interview that her former husband did everything to make her feel guilty and as if she was not worthy of doing anything great.
She thought he would be her support system because to be on The Voice was a huge deal. But his shocking and hurtful comments really did end up getting the best of her, she continued.
The star says the more mean he was toward her, the nicer she was but then a point in time came where she could no longer handle it. She says she was falling deep into the realms of depression and the only way out was to go through the divorce.
But even then the star did not find what she was looking for. She wanted the world to know that life is as good as you make it and only time can heal.
Clarkson added how she has struggled with her weight for years. It was easy for people to keep telling her that she looked a certain way and more.
She was tired of that. So now, the star is accounting for her drastic weight loss transformation to the likes of the drug Ozempic. And while her fans were disappointed to see her take the ‘easy way out’, others justified the behavior by mentioning everyone in the industry was doing it.
For now, the leading talk show host is making the most of her time away from the dating world. She is prioritizing between her kids, her work, and her health.
“For me, that’s the most important. I would not want it any other way”- she further explained.
