Terrifying reports are speaking about a DHL cargo flight that suddenly lost control after approaching Vilnius airport in Lithuania this morning.
The incident resulted in the plane crashing into a house and killing one person onboard while injuring three others.
The plane was on its way from the German city of Leipzig to the Lithuanian capital and was just a mile from touching down on the runway.
This is when the fiery crash took place at about 5:30 am local time which is 3:30 am GMT.
The result was a massive blaze that arose after the aircraft careened into a giant wooded area and skidded some 100 meters before ramming into a massive two-story high building.
The crash follows reports in recent months that mysterious explosions continue to arise and DHL warehouses are burning in Leipzig and Birmingham amid fears of a possible Russian sabotage operation that’s attacking them.
The police say investigations are arising and they are yet to rule out the possibility that this was a sabotage. However, nothing can be confirmed as of yet.
The Lithuanian Police Commissioner also mentioned how investigators are also taking terrorism as a part of the list of reasons behind the ordeal.
Some claim it was more likely due to human error or a possible technical error. Whatever the case might be, it’s tragic that such incidents are arising.
Both pilots managed to miraculously make it out alive despite suffering serious injuries as confirmed by local news outlets.
One member of the four-person crew who was of Spanish origin died and his remains were found at the scene, the reports from Lithuanian media confirmed.
