Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were spotted enjoying a meal together at Ralph Lauren’s New York restaurant on Thursday night.
The celebrity couple, who recently revealed they were separating after 27 years of marriage, looked amicable towards each other as they shared a “very happy” meal together with their friends to celebrate Hugh’s 55th birthday.
“Very happy time by all. Think it was good birthday,” an insider told PageSix before a rep for the actor confirmed they had a “lovely evening.”
Following the dinner, the Wolverine star spoke out on social media and thanked all those who made his birthday a happier one.
“Thank you ALL for the birthday love!!! I’m reading your messages, seeing the special videos and experiencing all the feels,” he wrote as he shared a picture of himself holding a drink in his hand.
The Hollywood actor also shared a snap of his dessert featuring a scoop of ice cream and two small cookies on the side.
The celebrations come shortly after Hugh and Deborra announced their marriage has come to an end after 27 years.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the couple announced in a joint statement.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”
A source close to Jackman has since confirmed that the 55-year-old is back in the dating scene and that he is back on the search for love.
“Everyone expects Hugh will remarry fairly quickly. He’s such a soft-hearted person and is likely to fall for the first girl who catches his eye. There’s a freeway of ladies lined up around the block to date him,” the insider said.
