Things are not looking good for former US President Donald Trump.
The leading Republican leader has just been awarded a ‘guilty’ status as the final verdict from the jury in regard to his hush money trial.
This marks a historic moment in the country’s history as he’s the first former US President to ever be convicted of a crime.
The jury comprised seven men and five women who made their decision moments ago about the former President. He was facing 34 counts of falsifying business records.
The news comes after a whopping five weeks of dramatic evidence and 22 witnesses getting quizzed on the stand.
This is the first time that a former American President has faced a criminal trial as Trump is set to take on Biden in the upcoming elections that are set to begin in November of this year.
Experts predict this would upend the 2024 White House race and really turn out to be a pivotal moment in the country’s history.
The charges Trump faces would force him to enter jail for up to four years
Jurors had the option of convicting Trump of all counts, acquitting him of all counts, or delivering a mixed verdict in which he was found guilty of some charges and not others.
