Imane Khelif’s mother is hitting back at critics who insist her daughter is a male and therefore didn’t deserve the right to compete in the female boxing category at the Paris Olympics.
The news has spread like wildfire on social media with many slamming the IOC for giving her the chance to compete and ultimately win the title.
This is after the IBA declared her ineligible after she failed her gender eligibility tests due to higher-than-normal testosterone levels.
Her story is one that many refer to as ‘from rags to riches’ and it’s hard to digest the fact that she has walked away so easily with gold, despite all the backlash she’s faced.
Her family has stood close by her side, alongside her team of coaches and the entire Algerian nation. Her father has submitted evidence in the form of her passport and birth certificate to shut down haters. Still, to see this take place is baffling.
Khelif’s mother says she knows for sure that she gave birth to a female and she’s amazed at the level of hate and bullying taking place against her daughter.
She claims that her daughter was special from the day she was born and she knew that one day, she would make the family proud.
Furthermore, she slammed all the haters raining on her daughter’s parade, adding how all the allegations are baseless. For so long, she’s been mistreated and it’s about time the family spoke up against the world. off.
