Donald Trump was gearing up to ban people from over 43 nations from traveling to the US.
The shocking new travel restrictions will take center stage soon and feature a host of countries divided into three different categories, depending on their risk levels.
The dramatic memo also saw key allies of Moscow getting put under some heavy sanctions as travelers from the country might have their hopes of entering America no longer a possibility.
As per the New York Times, the explosive immigration proposals come after Trump is working hard to try and make Zelensky and Putin enter peace talks and agree to a ceasefire deal.
The latest memo shows nations divided into three different groups such as full visa suspensions and partial suspensions.
Nations set to face the most drastic measures include North Korea, Iran, Cuba, and Afghanistan. The second group features those countries that could face suspension in visas that might impact those applying for tourism or student visas as well as immigration.
The third group includes those that might be up for grabs for a partial suspension if the governments don’t make the right efforts to address deficiencies within two months as per the memo.
The US official cautioned how there might be changes on the list and that it still needs to be approved by the Trump administration, including the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
