Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has reportedly been ousted by his MPs after losing a dramatic ‘no-confidence’ vote during the later hours of the night.
The Prime Minister was forced to walk out of the Prime Minister’s house with his head held up high as his MPs united to get him out of his position.
The news came as the country’s Supreme Court declared the National Assembly’s decision as illegal and hence that meant the much anticipated ‘vote of confidence’ would go ahead, despite his reservations.
Sources revealed that the Prime Minister had already lost his majority last week and was expected to either lose or resign but he promised his country that he would not take the latter option.
But the decision is said to have dragged the country to the brink of absolute chaos as it is currently uncertain who will be leading the nation as of now.
The ongoing political crisis has worsened over the past few weeks and the final result came today when the Prime Minister had no choice but to exit.
The former cricketer turned politician was a popular candidate for the masses who adored his charismatic presence and policies as many could relate to him, being a common man.
But now, it appears that has all gone down the drain as the country tries to make it out of the ongoing unrest and turmoil that has left the country with great doubt and uncertainty.
Previously, Imran Khan and his ruling PTI party tried to avoid the crunch ‘no-confidence’ vote by calling for early elections as a great possibility but he refused to resign.
However, the country’s Supreme Court had other plans as they ruled a decision that went against him and called out the government for behaving in an illegal manner.
