The United States has reportedly sent out two Patriot missile batteries to Poland recently, marking a major defensive deployment in the war region of Europe.
According to military experts, the missiles are designed to counter as well as destroy any incoming ballistic missiles that are aimed from a short distance.
In addition to that, the modern system is also designed to provide sufficient defense attack against advancing aircraft as well as cruise missiles.
On the other hand, reports revealed how US Vice President Kamala Harris is all set to arrive in Poland shortly for a three-day-long visit where she will spend time in Warsaw as well as the Romanian capital city of Bucharest.
Meanwhile, reports from the White House have stated how the trip was actually designed to see how America can further garner support for Ukraine’s nearby nations.
The visit of the vice president is being looked upon by experts as one with high stakes as it comes during a time when the Pentagon poured some cold water over Poland’s mighty deal to hand out all of their MiG-29 fighter jets to America.
This idea has been in the news buzz for quite some time now as Ukraine has reportedly pleaded for more assistance in the form of aircraft.
On Tuesday, the Pentagon’s Press Secretary revealed how the deal seemed to be unworkable as it could potentially cause serious concerns for the entire alliance of NATO.
Moreover, it also carried the threat of carrying a great amount of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Poland previously mentioned how it had put the jets at the American Government’s disposal.
And that clearly suggests how Poland was trying hard to push the US into providing more weaponry to Ukraine to assist in the ongoing war.
But President Biden’s administration has boldly declared how the statement made by Poland has taken them by great surprise.
