Experts are calling for more warnings for helium canisters to be improved after a young mother ended up passing away instantly at her own child’s birthday party.
According to reports from local media outlets, the mom passed away instantly after inhaling the commonly used gas at her child’s birthday event.

The woman named Faith Waterman Batistich died after breathing her final breath due to the colorless, odorless gas that was released directly from the canister.
Experts are warning about how hazardous it can be and yet it’s so commonly available for use at public events.
When that gas is inhaled, it ends up displacing oxygen located inside the lungs and results in low blood oxygen. This gives rise to a condition called hypoxia that results in serious damage and can lead to death.
Meanwhile, one inquest into the victim’s death found that the mother had no idea about the dangers of inhaling helium. This is why more and more parents are making calls for warning labels on these canisters to get clear.
