The tour company behind the horrifying helicopter crash in the Hudson River that left six people dead has reportedly shut down with immediate effect as per orders from the FAA.
The news comes as the lead authority shared more about how it’s now investigating the operator’s license and controls for safety.

Spanish tourist Agustin Escobar, alongside his wife and three kids, was said to be traveling on the vehicle to celebrate their daughter’s birthday.
However, they were all killed, including the pilot, who was a former Navy SEAL. The incident arose when the helicopter fell from the sky and crashed into the iconic New York River.

Pilot Sean Johnston was a Navy veteran who had been flying commercially since the year 2023. He was said to have sent a chilling radio call for mayday, informing them of a quick turnaround due to facing a fuel shortage.
The tour company dubbed New York Helicopter is now shutting down operations immediately as ordered by the FAA yesterday.
Furthermore, the FAA is now going to roll out an immediate review of the tour firm’s license and safety records.
For them, safety is the number one priority and that’s why the officials shared how they won’t hesitate to protect the flying public. The company was also said to have a poor track record of safety and mechanical failures.
