“My Sister Won’t Invite My Husband To Her Wedding Since He’s In A Wheelchair”


Weddings are supposed to be about celebrating love with those that mean most but this bizarre family affair is leaving the internet divided.

One Reddit user was bold enough to reveal online how her sister chose to not invite her husband to her wedding because he was disabled and in a wheelchair.

Now, the bride’s sister is sharing her thoughts on the matter and asking whether or not she made the right decision to skip her sister’s big day, due to her irrational and uncalled-for behavior.

“She didn’t even send my disabled sister an invitation. And that’s because the bride-to-be didn’t find it suitable to allow my husband to attend her event because the thought of him being wheelchair-bound and entering into the pictures was just not something that she found to be acceptable in the family photos”- she explained.

The bride’s sister who chose to remain anonymous continued by mentioning how her wheelchair-bound husband may stand out amongst the crowd and that is something she felt might take away attention from her.

The fact that her husband has been in a wheelchair since the age of 16 isn’t something new to the family and that’s why the woman says she finds it so hard to see her own blood relative behaving in such a manner.

“She justified her behavior by saying that his wheelchair makes him appear different and she fears that whoever will see the images will continuously ask her about him”- the woman revealed.

But hearing the news made the woman furious and in the end, she skipped her sister’s event and stayed back with her husband at home.
