Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson has received heaps of support after he was spotted for the first time in years earlier this week.
The three-time Oscar winner was pictured enjoying the morning breeze at his home in Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills while wearing a loose-fitting orange T-shirt and dark sweatpants.
After the sighting, some fans voiced their concerns for the 85-year-old actor saying he looked “disheveled” and “in poor condition.”
Others, however, quickly ran to Jack’s help saying he deserves peace and respect considering his age and all that he’s done for the world of entertainment.
“He looks great. We should all be so lucky to be doing so well at 85,” someone wrote.
“It was morning when the photos were taken. We’ll all be lucky if we get to look like that on any morning after we hit 85,” another argued.
A third said: “I love Nicholson and I honestly think he looks just fine considering his age and the fact that he just woke up!”
The social media uproar comes after a source close to The Shining star told Radar Online that the actor’s socializing days are over and that he prefers to stay at home.
“He’s made it clear his home is his castle. But people just wish he’d come out of the house and pop up to tell them how — or at least reassure folks he’s OK,” an insider said.
“Jack’s in touch with certain relatives — especially Ray, his protégé, who he’s so proud of — but his socializing days are long gone.”
The family friend also claimed that the community of Mulholland Drive was worried about Jack’s well-being while alleging that his “mind is gone.”
“The Mulholland Drive community is pretty close-knit, and they are all worried about him. Physically he is fine — but his mind is gone. It’s really sad to see such a super talented actor, like Jack, go out this way,” the source added.
