Hollywood star Jack Nicholson was spotted at an LA Lakers game in his first public appearance in years.
The 85-year-old actor was seen exchanging words and handshakes with Seinfeld co-creator Larry David and Lakers star LeBron James as he attended his favorite team’s match against the Grizzles on Friday.
For the rare occasion, the Oscar-winner donned a dark blazer and red pants as he sported his black shades and wore binoculars around his neck.
After meeting with James and exchanging a few words, Nicholson sat down and went on to enjoy the game and the Lakers’ easy win against their opponents.
The acting icon has been an avid supporter of the Lakers for decades after first obtaining season tickets in 1970.
Since then, Jack had attended countless games and was often spotted at the courtside exchanging words with the players and taking pictures with his fans. Occasionally, when displeased with the judges’ decisions, Nicholson’s cheering would also turn into protests on the court.
The recent attendance marks the first time since 2021 that the actor was spotted at a Lakers game after becoming more and more reclusive since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nicholson was previously spotted earlier this month when he was caught on camera enjoying the morning breeze at his Mulholland Drive home in Beverly Hills.
At the time, a source close to The Shining star told Radar Online that the actor now prefers to stay at home and that his socializing days were over.
“He’s made it clear his home is his castle. But people just wish he’d come out of the house and pop up to tell them how — or at least reassure folks he’s OK,” the insider said.
“Jack’s in touch with certain relatives — especially Ray, his protégé, who he’s so proud of — but his socializing days are long gone.”
Clearly, however, Jack remains in high spirits and is looking forward to cheering at more Lakers games in the future.
