Ex-Oregon Ducks defensive back and current Minnesota Vikings star Khyree Jackson has reportedly died 24 after being involved in a car crash.
The news was first reported by media outlet TMZ which claims Jackson died in Upper Marlboro in Maryland during the early hours of Saturday.
Meanwhile, his mother got the harrowing call about his death at 4 am, leaving her in shock and disbelief, and numb with grief.
Authorities spoke about how the incident involved several cars while Jackson was believed to be inside his maroon Dodge Charger. It’s just so unfortunate how the incident arose, the cops explained as he was in the front passenger seat.
The MD State Police also explained how a preliminary investigation indicated how a woman did make attempts to change lanes at a high speed when she struck Jackson’s vehicle before ramming into another.
The driver was left unharmed as was the other passenger in the other vehicle.
The car featuring Jackson left the road and ended up hitting several tree stumps. Jackson and the driver were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while Lytton Jr died after arriving at the hospital.
For now, there have been no contributing circumstances linked to this crash.
