A single mother is crying and pleading for help because she might be landing up in jail for a crime that is blowing many people’s minds.
According to reports from local media outlets, the single mom says that earning bread and butter for her family has been a very difficult ordeal. And with the current rates of inflation around the globe, the cost of living has been so overwhelming for her.
Taking care of her children alone without any support from a partner has literally turned into a nightmare for her. But she’s accepted her destiny and opted to take it with a pinch of salt.
But while she may have thought all was going well, it certainly wasn’t. The mom has two children, a 14-year-old and a 4-year-old.
Melissa Henderson who hails from Georgia claims that the only way she can earn a living is if she leaves her two kids behind at her residence. So, she makes her 14-year-old take care of her 4-year-old so she can work those tough shifts.
But it was not long until the neighbors found out by looking at the 14-year-old take the young child out on a stroll alone, without any other adult supervision.
On that note, the neighbors opted to call the cops on her and explain to them how this was just not right as both young children need to be taken care of.
Hence, after the mom was called back from her shift, she was horrified to learn that the cops were here and they demanded she to given an explanation.
They put handcuffs around her and arrested her, right in front of her kids. The mother broke down into tears and tried to justify why and how she was left with no other decision than this. And now, she faces jail for the incident.
