Fresh details about Jamie Foxx’s condition have emerged after the actor suffered a medical emergency while filming his new movie in Chicago.
The 55-year-old Hollywood star was rushed to the hospital last month over an undisclosed medical condition that was branded as a medical emergency by sources.
The Oscar winner has since been discharged from the hospital, his daughter confirmed as she failed to share details about his hospitalization and the nature of his health scare.
Now, TMZ confirmed that Foxx’s recovery continues at a top medical and rehabilitation center in Chicago with his family close by his side.
In pictures shared by the publication, family members of the Back in Action star, including Corinne and Annalise, were spotted visiting the rehab center. Paying Jamie a visit was also his ex-girlfriend and the mother of Annalise, Kristin Grannis.
While the cause of Jamie’s hospitalization still remains unclear, the facility in question “specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation” according to TMZ.
As one insider told the outlet, Foxx has been staying at the medical center for weeks ever since he was discharged from his hospital in late April.
Sources also reassured that the actor was “recovering well” from his health scare.
The news comes shortly after Jamie’s daughter Corinne spoke out to dismiss reports that claimed her family was bracing for the worst.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” she said.
“In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
