Jamie Lee Curtis made a very special announcement recently and it’s safe to say the news has left quite a few people stunned.
The leading celeb was seen giving her Oscar award ‘they/them’ pronouns for a very unique reason. And that had to do with her trans daughter.
The 64-year-old actress took to her account on social media to make the shocking announcement that left fans appalled. But the way she showered so much love and support for her child and the entire trans community said so much.
But many couldn’t help but wonder why she opted to give the Oscar award the They/Them pronouns. And the star could not stay silent.
She has always shown support for her trans daughter and this was not going to be an exception to that, she added.
Holding the Oscar statuette proud to her face, she just couldn’t keep calm and mentioned how she felt about the pronouns, with her daughter in her mind.
“Here they are, in support and honor of my beautiful young daughter, I am giving it they/them pronoun”- she further mentioned.
“Yes, my daughter is a transgender woman and I couldn’t be more proud of her”- she continued to reveal.
When asked for more details, the actress explained how they are doing great and a wonderful job at settling in. For her, this was a clear moment of pride and there was nothing that was going to change that.
Curtis reportedly won her first Oscar award for the supporting role in Everything Everywhere All At Once on Sunday.
And no guesses about how the film turned out to be the night’s biggest winner where it took home a total of seven Oscar Awards. And that included the award for the best picture.
