Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is facing a lot of heat and criticism for comparing the shocking fire-ravaged LA neighborhoods to war torn nations in the Middle East.
She shared how the torn-up and burned-down Pacific Palisades looked like scenes from a horror scene, likening to the images published from Gaza.
‘It’s just so sad, unfortunately, it’s as bad as that taking place in Gaza or any other war-torn nation. This is awful and devastating!’- she explained during a press conference.
The 66-year-old posted images of the incident on her account for X, adding how this was appalling, to say the least. Fans were seen flocking to the comments section on X to slam the star for being tone-deaf and comparing the two disasters who were on opposite ends of the spectrum.
‘It’s just unsettling for any celebrity to feel entitled and speak such terms that make no sense. I mean how crazy and naive do you have to be? I hope she can think before speaking!’- one furious commenter shared.
‘How can she even think this was okay? I mean she has a huge platform to make a difference and that’s what she has to say!’- another added.
Another felt comparing a natural disaster to a genocide was extreme and linking both of them didn’t make any sense. What do you think?
