Jeremy Renner’s sister has spoken out and shared a health update after her brother’s freak injury.
According to Kym Renner, her Hollywood star brother is doing better and the family couldn’t be more “thrilled” about his optimistic recovery.
“We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead. If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn’t mess around,” she said as she revealed that the Hawkeye star’s family and friends are “thrilled” by his swift recovery.
“[He is] crushing all the progress goals,” she added in a statement obtained by People.
Speaking out was also the 52-year-old Marvel star’s friend and co-star Colin Farrell who appeared alongside Renner in S.W.A.T.
“I’ve been in touch. He’s doing good, I believe. All prayers are with him,” he told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday.
The health updates come days after Renner was involved in a horror accident while attempting to clear snow from the road near his Lake Tahoe residence on New Year’s Eve.
It is believed that the actor was helping a relative who got stuck in the snow by using his 14,300-pound snow plow to clear the way.
At one instance, the actor stepped out of his vehicle to speak with the family member only for the machine to start moving and proceed to crush Renner when he tried to get back inside.
Following the accident, during which the actor suffered chest trauma and injuries to his limbs, Renner was rushed to the hospital where he has remained hospitalized until now.
Our thoughts are with Jeremy as his recovery continues.
