Jessica Simpson has taken her fans by surprise as she shared a video in which she showed off her toned figure following a major weight loss.
The 42-year-old singer and actress wore a maxi dress with a cheetah print as she put her slim figure on display in a promotional video for Pottery Barn Kids.
In the clip, the mother-of-three introduced the viewers to her daughter’s bedroom as she praised the design she helped spur to life.
“I was really drawn to the geometric prints and color scheme. This really, to me, is Birdie’s personality,” Simpson said.
The video comes just weeks after Jessica revealed she had lost one hundred pounds after putting on a lot of extra weight as a result of three pregnancies.
Speaking of her technique to drop the extra pounds, the 42-year-old told Extra that a change in her diet played a key role.
“I went to a nutritionist, and I needed to get my eating habits right,” she said as she insisted she now feels healthy and confident enough to wear her bikinis.
She added: “I feel younger, actually. I have a lot more energy and yeah, I get to wear all the clothes that are in storage that I saved for Maxwell and Birdie. Maybe Birdie will outgrow them because Maxwell has already outgrown me!”
Besides a change in her diet, Simpson also started working out frequently to burn more calories and tone her figure.
Knowing that no matter how much she weighs someone will complain about her looks, the singer also decided to filter out the negative feedback and simply do what’s best for her.
“I’ve been criticized, and it hurts, but I’ve been every weight and I’ve been proud of it. I decided, ‘Okay, everybody is going to talk about my weight all the time, I might as well make money off of it and turn it into a business of selling clothes and acceptance,’” she concluded.
