Comedian Jim Carrey is reportedly leaving his Los Angeles home after a striking period of over 30 years.
The celeb confirmed the news while stating how excited he was to make way for new changes along the way.
Carrey was reported as mentioning how it’s not an easy ordeal to say goodbye to the place that he called home for decades in Los Angeles.
However, the celeb did go on to mention how he just does not spend a lot of time there and for this reason, he hopes that someone else can enjoy it. Therefore, listing it was the smartest decision he could make.
The comedian who was born in Canada bought the massive property three decades back. It comprises five bedrooms, and nine bathrooms, and spans over 12,900 feet.
In 1994, it cost the celeb nearly $7.71 million and is now being sold for $29 million. Carrey spoke more about his property during a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal.
He says that the home was a huge blessing for him throughout his career. He called it his place that brought him great creativity and prosperity.
In the same way, he described how peaceful of a spot it was where owls sang lullabies at night while in the morning, he enjoyed sitting in the sun and having his warm cup of coffee with the company of hummingbirds and hawks.
There was also plenty of greenery to take in and he adored that so much, including the presence of pine cone trees.
It was also a great source of luck for the celeb. He says that he bought the mega-mansion right before the success of his first hit film called Ace Ventura. And that is why he is having a hard time saying goodbye.
But for him, some changes are good and this might be one of those.
