Sofia Vergara does know how to add a little humor to some serious moments and the Golden Globes Awards 2025 was no exception.
The starlet poked fun at Jodie Foster’s 2025 Golden Globes win while the 62-year-old made her way to accept her award. The accolade was for the leading performance in the popular HBO series called True Detective: Night Country.
Vergara did get plenty of tongue-in-cheek comments when she tried to make her way to stop Foster from accepting the award in classic style.
“No, no! That award belongs to me”- she was heard screaming and shouting from the audience right before Foster began her acceptance speech. ‘Give me one!’- she again yelled.
Foster continued to take her strike and gave Vergara a shout-out in the acceptance speech. ‘The greatest thing about this age is that you’ve got a whole community of people rooting for you, especially Sofia!’- Foster exclaimed.
We’re glad the star took the light-hearted humor and didn’t cry about Vergara trying to dim her moment to shine which some fans felt might have been the case.
Both actresses are known for their playful rivalry and shared a great friendship, one insider shared. Vergara did share her disappointment of not getting any Emmy but at least she got a hamburger and for her, that’s just as good.
