As the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial nears its end, the Hollywood actor’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, has become the center of speculations on the internet.

Camille Vasquez has been widely praised by Johnny Depp’s fans for her handling of the case and intense cross-examination of Heard and her allegations.

Now, social media users have also begun speculating that the 37-year-old attorney is secretly dating the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

Rumors first began after Vasquez and Depp were spotted hugging in the courthouse and exchanging “suspicious” smiles and glances.

Adding to the debate is also the fact that the California lawyer laughed at a TMZ reporter after he asked her if she was dating her client.

“The people want to know, are you dating Johnny Depp? It’s all over the internet. Can you set the record straight, yes or no?” a reporter asked Vasquez on Tuesday after she left the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse.

Responding, the lawyer laughed and walked away without giving a definitive answer.

While people refuse to give up on the idea that Vasquez and Depp are dating, a source allegedly told ET that the dating rumors are “entirely, 100 percent, unequivocally untrue.”

Similarly, TMZ confirmed that Depp and Vasquez are nothing more than friends and colleagues. As the publication insisted, they were “assured” that nothing is going on between the pair.

TMZ also pointed out that Vasquez is, in fact, already taken.
