Singer Britney Spears was seen lashing out at former partner Justin Timberlake while performing her hit track.
The celeb did not care about what others had to say as she had just one thing on her mind. And that included taking revenge after Timberlake called out the star during one of his shows.
In case you’re wondering, the whole fiasco began when Spears rolled out her latest music release. This is where the Overprotected singer said sorry on Monday morning for some of the content in the latest memoir. The ‘Woman in Me’ mentioned how she perhaps rubbed readers the wrong way.
“If I did end up offending some people that I genuinely care about, I am so sorry about this”- the star added on the Instagram app. Meanwhile, another shocking twist arose when she gave out shout-outs to Timberlake right after the hit release and made her appearance on the Late Night show featuring comedian Jimmy Fallon.
“I also wished to mention that I am in love with his latest song, it’s called Selfish”- she added, mentioning how much it feels good to see him with the comedian together.
The song debuted at the top of the list on Saturday Night Live and since then, it’s been going strong for so long.
The comments from Spears come at a time when her diehard fans have been streaming and purchasing the track since 2011. Spears’ hit track managed to hit the first position on the charts during the afternoon hours of Friday as Justin Timberlake fell from the top spot at position number 3.
This is where the Toxic star’s fan base has been detecting Timberlake, ever since she rolled out the hit song, ‘Cry Me a River’ indicating how Spears cheated on him and broke his heart.
Right now, she’s calling him out as selfish and nothing more. And we feel a new feud might be on the horizon.
