US Vice President Kamala Harris was booed by crowds during her surprise visit to Iowa recently.
The leading personality had not expected such a loud booing chant when she stepped to watch a game that was being played by her own alma mater.
Kamala made her surprise guest appearance to watch the March Madness but it appeared that audience members could not be bothered by her presence.
And instead of giving her the respect she deserved for being the nation’s vice president, they did the complete opposite. And that included booing her from the stands, leaving her startled.
The game was between Howard University and top-seeded Kansas. And despite the VP rooting for her alma mater, it’s Kansas who ended up winning. But despite that, she was all smiles and made it a point to enjoy herself despite all the negativity surrounding her at that moment in time.
Harris reportedly graduated from Howard University with a BA degree in political science and economics. This happened to be in 86 as per reports from local media outlets.
The Vice President was also seen giving an interview as her giant picture appeared on the large screen. That is when many sports fans opted to give her a shoutout that was not the least bit welcoming.
“I mean here were in Des Moines. It’s a tough time but they do work hard. They are a strong team and they always end up putting up a fight. And that is what makes them an absolute treat to watch”- she continued.
But after an initial round of boos, the crowds did not take long at all to overshadow the boos with a roar of cheers. And we bet that made the Vice President feel a little bit better because it was definitely a houseful in the stadium.
