Kanye West was reportedly escorted out of the Skechers headquarters in California after paying a visit in an attempt to pitch his Yeezy brand.
The bizarre move comes just a day after sportswear giant adidas cut all ties with the disgraced rapper over his anti-Semitic comments and shortly after the singer was dropped by major brands such as Gap and Balenciaga.
Feeling the full heat of the fallout, Ye allegedly made an unannounced trip to Skechers only to be escorted out of the building by the company’s executives before he could make his pitch.
“Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation. Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company’s reps said as they confirmed Skechers has no plans to collaborate with the musician.
“We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. The Company would like to again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.”
Amid his fallout, Ye was also dropped by Peloton with the company announcing his music will be removed from the platform and will not be featured in any new bike classes.
This comes a day after adidas announced it would be cutting all ties with Ye over his “hateful” and “dangerous” comments.
“Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said in a statement.
“After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with him immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Kanye and his companies. adidas will stop the adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”
After being dropped by adidas, West’s net worth fell drastically and he was removed from Forbes Billionaires’ list.
