Kate, the Princess of Wales, appeared very emotional as she wore an elegant black hat and coat for the Remembrance Sunday service in London.
The mother-of-three was seen standing on the balcony alongside the Queen Consort, Camila, as they watched King Charles and Prince William lay wreaths to pay respects to people who have died in wars.
She also paid tribute to her mother-in-law by wearing a pair of pearl and diamond drop earrings that once belonged to the late Princess Diana.
The late Princess of Wales wore the earrings on many occasions, including at the Palace of Versailles in 1994 and at a banquet for the Japanese Emperor Akihito in 1990.
King Charles led the nation at the Cenotaph for the first time as the new monarch. During the emotional service, the late Queen as well as her commitment to war veterans were remembered in the evening attended by the Royal Family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, and the Countess of Wessex.
After the prayer and reflection, Charles laid his wreath and saluted to the Cenotaph.
Prince William then laid his wreath bearing the colors of the Prince of Wales.
The Earl of Wessex and Princess Royal were next to lay a wreath before one was laid on behalf of the Duke of Kent.
Former Prime Ministers including Liz Truss, Theresa May, Tony Blair, David Cameron and Boris Johnson were also present.
The Queen, who passed away at the age of 96, considered Remembrance Sunday one of the most important and significant engagements in the royal calendar.
It was in 1945 when she first laid a wreath at the Cenotaph. She only missed seven services during her reign, including the 2021 service because of back pain.
