Kelly Clarkson was pictured smiling from ear to ear as she attended the 2024 Grammys with her young son.
Taking to the red carpet in an elegant off-shoulder white dress on Sunday night, the 41-year-old singer was accompanied by her 7-year-old son Remington whom she shared with ex-husband Jared Atelier.
The former couple also share a 9-year-old daughter River Rose who was not present at the ceremony.
On the red carpet, Clarkson appeared happy and content as she showed off her slim figure after dramatic weight loss.
Young Remington, 7, could be seen clutching his mother’s hand while posing for photos in a shiny burgundy red suit.
The ‘Since U Been Gone’ hitmaker was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and competed for the Grammy against the likes of Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift. The honor went to the latter for her work on Midnights.
Clarkson and Blackstock tied the knot in 2013 and the singer became a stepmom to her husband’s two children from his previous marriage. Before their bitter divorce in 2020, the couple also welcomed two children of their own – River Rose and Remington.
Kelly previously gushed over her love for her children as she admitted that motherhood was far from an easy job.
“If you’re a mom, you want to be with your kid every day.
You don’t want to miss a moment, you want her to need you and want you and not want somebody else. But I think it’s really important not only for my little girl and our 15-year-old girl and our boys to see that a woman is capable of kicking ass while also being a kickass mom.
I’m not gonna BS you, that’s hard,” she told Redbook in 2016.
“There are days where I cry and I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I can handle all this!’ or get it all done. But at the end of the day, 99 percent of the time, it’s awesome and it’s worth it, and that’s what I say to myself.”
She also revealed she always fears something would happen to her children. “Literally, having children has brought fear to my life.
That sounds horrible, I know, but before kids I was fearless. Now I go to bed and I have nightmares of someone just grabbing my little girl and running. It’s always about me not being able to protect my kids somehow. I’m a mama bear …. Just recently our nanny told me that an older kid was mean to my daughter at the park and that she just crumbled.
I’m glad I wasn’t there, because I wouldn’t have handled that well. I totally went off on that 6-year-old in my head!” the singer added.
