Nicole Kidman was just honored with a major accolade at this year’s AFI awards ceremony where she was given the Lifetime Achievement Award for her years of service in the Hollywood industry.
The evening was a glitzy and glamorous event that featured all of the star’s close friends and family members but her kids whom she shares with actor Tom Cruise were nowhere in sight.
The celeb appeared gorgeous as ever in her gold-toned shimmery number from leading designer label Balenciaga. She posed with her husband Keith Urban and also had her teenage daughters with her throughout the evening as her main support system.
But insiders have spoken about how the celeb did miss her other kids whom she adopted while being married to her former husband Tom Cruise.
The star got emotional while delivering her speech and thanked all the important people in her life. But later reports spoke about how the star really did wish for her immediate family to be there for an honor that she says is the most important award of her life.
It’s not quite clear why her adopted son and daughter chose to skip the grand evening but the star hopes they would be there by her side for more memorable events like these as she’s ‘big on family’ and making memories.
