The TikTok account managed by Kim Kardashian and daughter North has been temporarily taken down.

9-year-old North West, the daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, boasted 15.5 million followers on TikTok before the account suddenly couldn’t be found on the platform on Thursday.

As a source close to the Kardashians told TMZ, it was likely North’s decision to take down the account to focus on her creativity and her talents away from social media.

“North has been more interested in focusing her creativity in other areas lately and is taking a break from TikTok. Like most kids, interests change often, so she may be back on as early as tomorrow – or never again,” the insider claimed.

The account’s deactivation comes two years after Kim and North created the TikTok channel to share glimpses of their life with their fans.

The account previously sparked fury from the nine-year-old’s embattled father who said he was not comfortable with his daughter’s presence on the platform intended for people above thirteen years old.

“Tell her don’t have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok and don’t have her on TikTok at all if I don’t approve that, and I said it after it was done without me knowing, and it happened again,” Kanye said in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked back in 2022.

“So I feel like there’s some poking the bear, trying to antagonize me or create this, like, ‘crazy’ narrative. Because to say someone is crazy, they’re trying to take the power away and do anything to get people to not pay attention to me.”

Responding to her ex-husband and the father of her children was Kim who insisted she was doing her best to protect their daughter as her main caregiver.

“As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children. I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision – because it brings her happiness,” the socialite said.

“Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
