Singer Katy Perry is being slammed for her dramatic behavior online after she was pictured kissing the ground after her short space joy ride on the Origin Spaceship.
Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin made headlines when a star-studded all-female crew, including Laura Sanchez and Gayle King, went into space on Monday morning.
The woman crossed the Karman Line, which is often used as the boundary of space, and was treated to roughly three minutes of weightlessness before they headed back down to the ground.
Upon arriving back on planet Earth, each of the women was seen exiting the rocket one by one. This is the moment when Katy Perry shocked many by getting down and holding a daisy up to the sky for a couple of seconds before she kissed it. She shared how it was in honor of her daughter.
She then flipped her hair with a dramatic swish before she headed down the ladder. Upon reaching the bottom, she got down on her hands and knees and dramatically kissed the ground.
And social media users were quick to mention how her actions were definitely not in line with her behavior. While some called it overly dramatic and unnecessary, another shared that it was cringy, considering she was missing for just 20 seconds.
