The police have stormed Lady Gaga’s home after reports of a stalker who had “often” left gifts at her Malibu mansion.
The shocking confrontation took place on Thursday night when an alleged stalker dropped off gifts on the singer’s property, TMZ reported.
After spotting the suspect trespassing, Lady Gaga’s security detained the man and called the authorities who told him it wasn’t a smart move to attempt to give any kind of gifts to the ‘Shallow’ hitmaker.
Sources also told TMZ that Lady Gaga’s security informed the police that the same stalker previously visited the property on several occasions to drop off various gifts for the singer.
Moreover, it was revealed that the ‘Bad Romance’ singer was at her Malibu home at the time of the incident. Fortunately, however, the man was detained by her security before he could make contact with the 13-time Grammy Award winner.
The suspected stalker was not arrested over the incident and was let off with a warning.
Security remains of the top importance to most A-listers whose fame comes with unwanted consequences.
As it happens, Lady Gaga’s security detail includes one of the celebrity world’s top professional bodyguards Peter Van der Veen, a former bodybuilder, Mr Europe, and bodyguard to the likes of Adele and Iggy Azalea.
Veen previously worked with Gaga from 2010 and 2015 before rejoining her security team in 2018.
The news of a stalker dropping off gifts at Lady Gaga’s home comes as the singer is working on the thriller Joker: Folie à Deux alongside the Joker (2019) star Joaquin Phoenix.
