One primary school teaching assistant has won a major lawsuit against her bosses after she was reportedly left on crutches.
According to local media reports, the woman named Aleksandra Aukett explained how she was violently attacked by a 5-year-old student who was too big for his age.
The 44-year-old suffered multiple soft tissue injuries where she was punched, kicked, and pinched by the giant student.
Moreover, the horrifying incident that took place in 2017 left her with adverse effects on her physical health that she continues to deal with today.
For that reason, she ended up suing her bosses for nearly 140,000 Pounds but she wasn’t quite sure whether or not she would win the case in the end.
Thankfully, it all worked out in her favor, and today, she’s all smiles and feels like justice has been served where due.
After recently making an appearance at the witness box at the County Court in Central London, she revealed how life-changing of an event that incident was for her in the end.
“I still haven’t gone back to work. It’s like a huge fear is still instilled within me. The aftermath has haunted me for so long and I just can’t get my head around adjusting to a school environment again.
During this past week, she had also gone about suing the entire London Borough of Hillingdon as she believes it is the local authority’s responsibility to overlook schools.
She also added how more needs to be done to protect her and other vulnerable teachers like her in the workplace.
Today, the council has reportedly agreed to settle her case, once and for all. And that’s when they announced that she would finally be getting her money.
