Lisa Marie Presley was left in tears when Elvis actor Austin Butler told her and her mother Priscilla ‘I love you forever’ during his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes only two days before she passed away.
The 54-year-old singer-songwriter was seen crying with her mother Priscilla, 77, inside the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton hotel on Tuesday night.
The Presleys had grown close to the actor when he portrayed Elvis last year. They guided him and shared a lot of stories about the late singer.
Lisa and Priscilla wore black gowns when they were seen crying as Butler mentioned the family in his speech.
“I also want to thank our incredible producers and Warner Bros and the Presley family, thank you guys, thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever,” Butler said.
Only two days later, Lisa suffered a ‘full cardiac arrest’ at her California home.
She was rushed to a hospital where she sadly died with her mother by her side.
Sources told TMZ that paramedics performed CPR on her before she was rushed to a hospital in ambulance.
The outlet said that “someone administered epinephrine at the scene at least one time in order to help Lisa Marie regain a pulse.”
Lisa Marie was a songwriter and singer and had three children, including actress Riley Keough.
She operated and owned Elvis Presley Enterprises until 2005. She was still the owner of Elvis’ famous Memphis estate, Graceland.
She was also known for her high-profile marriages to Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage, Michael Lockwood, and Danny Keough.
