Schools in Michigan’s districts are under fire after shocking reports regarding litter boxes being added to bathrooms for kids have arisen.
According to local media reports, the head of the Midland Public Schools claims that it is beyond unconscionable that he even had to go ahead and address accusations of this sort. And that’s because he believes that nothing regarding the rumor is true.
In case you’re wondering how or where this sort of news has come from, local media outlets claim that it was first brought to the attention of other parents and citizens by Lisa Hansen during a school board meeting that took place in December.
She revealed how one school had put in a litter box in the unisex bathroom for all those kids who identify as ‘furries’.
For those who may not be aware, furries are the name allocated to those people that adopt animal personas for a number of reasons. And this includes a new and unique sense of belonging, fun, or even for sexual purposes.
But the district has reportedly denied the existence of litter boxes and that they were never provided. Moreover, they even confirmed how such a rumor was only spread by conservative pages on social media, including one state official from the Republican party.
Ever since the news broke out, videos of Lisa Hansen who first heard the rumor during the school board meeting have started to go viral, getting thousands of views, comments, and shares on social media.
Lisa has recently commented about how she plans on doing more investigation on the subject regarding litter boxes within MPS schools as parents around the state condemn the thought, let alone practice, of such an unbelievable act.
