Lizzo has reportedly been booted from the list of performers being considered for the next Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The 35-year-old rapper and songwriter has become the center of controversy after three of her former backup dancers spoke out and alleged she s*xually harassed them and created a toxic work environment.
Since their bombshell accusations, six other former employees of the ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker spoke out and filed similar lawsuits against the performer.
While Lizzo has yet to be canceled on a massive scale, an insider from the NFL told DailyMail.com that her name was already dropped from the list of potential performers at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“Talks of Lizzo being a part of the Halftime festivities, or performing the National Anthem, are dead now that she is surrounded by scandal,” the insider insisted.
While Lizzo herself didn’t wait long to deny all of the allegations laid bare against her, her team is now reportedly scrambling to save what they can.
“It is becoming more and more difficult with more people coming forth accusing her of extremely inappropriate acts,” another source from the music industry told the publication.
“Lizzo has raked in a massive amount of money but her minute is pretty much up it seems and no one knows if she will be able to recover from this.
“If she speaks out, her statements are shredded. If she stays quiet, she is called a coward. Either way, it does not appear at this moment that she can recover from this.”
The source went on to say that the rapper’s team is now working around the clock “desperately trying to come up with a strategy to save her sinking ship.”
