America’s popular sugary breakfast cereal ‘Lucky Charms’ is being dubbed as unsuitable for human health after 140 different cases were recently reported against the common grocery item.
The product which is said to be a popular venture of General Mills has long won the hearts of both adults and children but the news is really causing a stir around the country as many can’t help but believe that it could be true.
140 different cases of people being sick after eating the cereal were reported recently nationwide and The Post is said to have noted this on the product’s website which was full of consumer complaints.
So many of the consumers that were affected reported their symptoms which commonly included suffering from both diarrhea and vomiting, moments after they consumed the foodstuff.
These statistics were released by the popular website iwaspoisoned.com which is known to track different food-borne illnesses.
In the month of March, Jan Judd who hails from Herber City in Utah was one of the first consumers who launched a major complaint against the product.
She says that after enjoying her bowl at first, she was ok. However, after a few hours, she quickly saw her condition worsening as she started to cramp up.
“I quickly because so nauseated and throughout the entire night, I suffered from diarrhea”-she continued.
She also said that for the next 24 hours, her condition worsened to a new degree, something that she clearly didn’t see coming.
“The pain was worst than what I had when I was diagnosed with COVID-19”- she further stated.
On the other hand, one mother explained a similar story where she had the misfortune of feeding her child a bowl of cereal as a mid-afternoon snack. But she quickly began to regret her decision after seeing her son’s projectile vomiting, which continued until the next day.
Meanwhile, General Mills has released a statement where it says that it does not believe the cause of all these people’s illnesses has to do with their products but it is currently in the midst of carrying out one ongoing review.
