Macaulay Culkin is set to receive his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 43-year-old actor and father-of-two is best known for portraying Kevin McCallister in the beloved Christmas classic Home Alone.
While the actor had since his success as a child star removed himself from the spotlight, he recently returned to the screen and appeared in the likes of American Horror Story: Double Feature, Changeland, and more.
It was not confirmed that Culkin will have his name embedded in the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his on-screen mother Catherine O’Hara set to speak at the occasion.
“He has been a staple in pop culture for decades,” Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez explained.
“He has an extensive trajectory of work but his movie, Home Alone, is one of the most beloved holiday movies known the world over.”
Martinez continued: “How fitting that Catherine O’Hara who played Macaulay’s mother in the film is reuniting with her movie son and will be speaking at the ceremony!”
Macaulay, who recently welcomed two children with Disney channel star Brenda Song, previously opened up about his thoughts on Home Alone as he revealed he doesn’t watch the movie too often.
“I don’t really watch them all that often,” he told Vanity Fair in 2018. “It’s background radiation at Christmastime. I’ve had people who want to sit down and watch it with me, which is both flattering and creepy.”
Macaulay also admitted that he struggles with focusing on the main plot of the movie because he has too many memories from the time it was filmed.
“I’m remembering that day on set, like, how I was hiding my Pepsi behind the couch. I can’t watch it the same way other people can,” he added.
