Chilling details about Madonna’s condition have emerged after the Queen of Pop was rushed to the hospital over a medical emergency.
The 64-year-old singer was “rushed to hospital and intubated” last week after being found unresponsive at her New York home.
Following the beloved hitmaker’s sudden hospitalization, her representatives confirmed that Madonna came down with a serious bacterial infection.
Now, pictures showing the singer visiting the Metropolitan Museum with her crew just hours before her collapse emerged.
Sources also told TMZ that Madonna was too sick to stand up or get out of her bed after her trip to the Met. She allegedly also began vomiting uncontrollably before collapsing and being found unresponsive in her room.
The outlet also revealed that Madonna has been silently suffering from a fever for a month prior to her medical emergency.
“She mostly ignored her symptoms and never got checked out by a doctor because she was laser-focused on her upcoming tour,” a source said.
The insider also suggested that Madonna’s unreported fever was likely a sign of an infection and that her condition got worse after she ignored the symptoms.
The news comes as the singer was rehearsing vigorously ahead of her final tour which was set to kick off in Canada in July.
Speaking of the highly-anticipated tour, Madonna’s former backup dancer Jose Xtravaganza said:
“Rehearsals are six days a week from what I hear… the only day off is Sunday. I think it’s gonna be a great show, full of costume. There’s a lot of dancing going on. The dance troupe is large. When we went on tour, it was just seven of us. I think now there’s at least anywhere from 15 to 20 of them.
“They are trained in different fields of dance different types of artistic expression to be to be shown in the show. I believe there’s gonna be like a lot of martial arts like boxing. She’s very into boxing and things like that. So I think she’s going to revisit a lot of those things that she’s shown in the past.”
Since her hospitalization, it was confirmed that the singer is out of the ICU. She is now reportedly recovering from the comfort of her home.
Our thoughts remain with Madonna during this challenging time.
