Top basketball player and former Orlando Magic star Janis Timma was found in a stairwell in Russia on his former wife’s birthday.

According to reports from local media outlets, he took his own life by falling from an apartment building in Moscow.

The 32-year-old played for some leading teams during his very successful Euro League career. He was found in the stairwell of a high-rise building as per reports from local media outlets.

Timma’s untimely death took place on his wife’s birthday who was a leading singer from Ukraine and also made her name in the world of acting, Anna Sedokova.

A phone with a message was also reportedly found next to him and that message was indeed from his former wife. It was discovered at the time of his death.

So far, the preliminary cause of death is s*icide. The former couple married in the year 2020 and then filed for a divorce at the start of this year.

The star was first selected by the Memphis Grizzlies and then later traded to the Orlando Magic where he made a huge name for himself and even appeared in the NBA Summer League in 2021.
